Hatteras Hammocks, take me away!

Our Coastland Stripe pattern feels cozy even to look at, like a quilt of soothing colors lifted straight from the North Carolina coastal plain: seafoam, blue like morning-lit ocean; pesto, vividly green like a thriving herb garden; antique brown, recalling rich farm soil or deeply varnished wood; taupe and oatmeal, like sand seen in different lights.

The hammock fabric itself is two layers of our own solution-dyed synthetic DuraCord lockstitched over a plush center of recycled polyester hollowfill fiber. Fast-drying, and resistant to staining, fading, rot, mold and mildew, DuraCord nonetheless has a softness to rival cotton.

The hammock bed is framed by two thick spreader bars of richly hued, deeply grained, unfinished South American cumaru, among the densest, prettiest, woods on Earth. Chains and hanging hardware are handsome, rust-resistant zinc-plated steel.
